This poster series is a personal project. I wanted to create iconic posters based on the acclaimed TV series Mad Men and The Walking Dead. AMC is now well known for its creative original series with great stories and interesting human characters. What I wanted to do was to capture the essence of the protaganists in each series. To do this I decided to pair them with objects that were very much a part of their character and a part of the TV Series as a whole. I wanted it to be simple, bold, and iconic. These posters quite literally became a character profile. I had intended these posters to be used as advertising for upcoming seasons. They are an homage to the characters I enjoy watching every week.
I initially posted this project on Society 6 to be sold as a print. But I wanted to push the project further and have more control over the printing methods. I decided to have them silk screened on awesome paper and with some cool metallic ink details that really jump off the black illustration. I had them printed at Mama's Sauce print shop. They were really great and a pleasure to work with. I'm really happy at how they turned out. I chose Don Draper as the first print.
